In December, 1986, a group of men hanging around a tackle shop on Lower Roswell Road decided to form a bass club.  East Cobb Bass Pros, the original name of the group, was founded soon thereafter and its inaugural tournament was held in early February, 1987 at Bartlett’s Ferry Lake.  From that day forward many fond memories and long-lasting friendships started, and they continue to prosper from days on the lake “doing what we do”.



Some years later the name of the club was changed to East Cobb Bass Club and in 2012 “East Cobb”, celebrated its 25th Anniversary.  The club continues to thrive due to the dedication and determination of many members, past and present.  We are proud of our beginnings and look forward to welcoming new members, boaters or non-boaters, that wish to join the tradition of individuals, coming together as a whole to enjoy the great outdoors and chase that dream of what we fondly refer to as “fishin”.​

From the outset the objectives of our club have been the following:​

• Improve our skills as bass fisherman through fellowship and friendly exchange of ideas and techniques, both at meetings and in our tournaments​
• Stimulate public awareness of our sport through our efforts with youth and conservation projects​
• Remain affiliated with State and National Federations, adopting their goals, objectives, rules and regulations intended to protect this great recreation heritage we all enjoy and love​
• And Most Importantly HAVE FUN!
